Promote the health, welfare and safety of all patients in the origination. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS · Work strictly within the SANC defined Scope of Practice. (R686 and R2598) · You must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered nurse. · Must be competent with the hospital's Policies and Regulations · Ability to lead and supervise staff · Attend to patient care within the Ward · Adhere to legal, health, safety, infection control and clinical standards. · Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and resource management. · Provide supervision, guidance and support to staff within the unit. · Attend to patient's complaints. COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Educational Qualifications & Experience) Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse. Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues is essential. Preferably have two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to workday and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays and adapt to working in other areas of the hospital when needed. Must possess excellent inter-personal skills. Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision. SKILLS (Practical & Technical) Effective clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Able to prioritise and work well under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Effective organisational and time management skills. Basic computer literacy. BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES (Personality Characteristics) Well-spoken and respectful Reliable, professional and patient focused. Must be able to adhere to all company rules and policies. Job Openings POST BASIC PHARMACIST ASSISTANT x2 About the job POST BASIC PHARMACIST ASSISTANT x2 DIVISION: DURDOC HOSPITAL- PHARMACY JOB TITLE: POST BASIC PHARMACIST ASSISTANT x2 PURPOSE OF POSITION The incumbent will be responsible to fulfil the scope of practise of a post basic pharmacist assistant. Preferably have two or more years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse in a hospital setting. Experience in surgical ward will be advantageous. Must be prepared to do shift work (Night shift / Day Shift). Must be computer literate – MS Word & Excel. Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues are essential. SKILLS (Practical & Technical) Must have excellent telephone skills. Must possess excellent inter-personal skill. Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
