Account data

When you create an account we store your email address and a salted hash of your password. We never store passwords in plain text. Your email is used for sign-in, account notifications, and email verification.

Saved jobs & alerts

Jobs you save, notes you write, application statuses, and alerts you create are stored in our database and associated with your account. This data is visible only to you. Product-usage signals derived from these actions (such as the fact that a save or status change occurred, and the associated record ID) may be sent to our analytics processor (PostHog, EU-hosted) to help us understand feature adoption. We do not share the content of your notes or the details of your applications with any third party.

Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies.

We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for product analytics and may use its session-replay capability to understand how features are used and to improve the product. PostHog sets a first-party cookie to distinguish anonymous sessions. When you sign in, we associate your account ID with your analytics activity. Analytics may be collected from the website, browser extension, and our backend services. Events may include feature names, record IDs, approved search filters and URL parameters, page URLs, action outcomes, browser or device information, and approximate location metadata supplied by PostHog. Search text is redacted. We do not intentionally send passwords, authentication tokens, notes, resumes, application answers, or form contents to PostHog.

Session replay may be used to diagnose product usability. When enabled, replay masks all text content, element attributes, and input fields. The extension's Strict mode limits passive job-page data collection, but analytics about explicit actions such as saving, filling, applying, or updating a status may still be collected.

Job data

Job listings displayed on this site are crawled from public company career pages and ATS systems. We attribute each listing to its available source context. We do not collect or store personal data of applicants as part of the public job record.

Browser extension

The Flan extension detects job pages as you browse and helps you save and fill applications. To keep listings accurate and up to date, the extension submits snapshots of public job pages it detects. A snapshot contains only the published job details (title, company, description, location, and the page URL) and never includes your answers, profile, resume, or form entries.

Snapshots are submitted automatically for detected job pages under the Standard privacy mode. Application-flow pages (such as /apply URLs), and extractions that are low quality or appear removed or blocked, are never submitted automatically. In Strict mode, job data is sent only when you explicitly save a job. You can change the privacy mode at any time in the extension settings.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of your account data at any time. Email [email protected] with your request.

Data retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account, subject to operational and legal retention requirements. Inactive job records are excluded from active public discovery according to the service's lifecycle state.
