DIVISION: ISIPINGO HOSPITAL JOB TITLE: PROFESSIONAL NURSE – MIDWIFE – NIGHT DUTY PURPOSE OF POSITION To Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC). KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS Must be able to practice within the scope of practice as Registered Nurse (Midwife). Must be compliant with Hospital Policies and Regulations. Ability to lead and supervise staff. Attend to patient care within the Unit. Attend to patient's complaints. Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in the ward. COMPETENCIES MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Educational Qualifications & Experience) Must have grade 12 Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Midwife. Preferably have two or more years of experience as Registered Midwife in Maternity or Labour Ward. Shift Leader SKILLS (Practical & Technical) Must have excellent telephone skills. Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision. Excellent observation skills.
