The Opportunity

As a Risk Consulting Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to real-world consulting engagements, working alongside experienced professionals across risk, compliance, and business process domains.
This internship is designed to provide practical experience, structured learning, and mentorship, enabling you to develop both technical and professional skills in a dynamic, global environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will support consulting teams and contribute to ongoing engagements and internal initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in risk assessment and compliance activities, including documentation and analysis
- Support process walkthroughs and controls testing (e.g., ITGC, SOX-related work)
- Participate in data gathering, validation, and basic analysis to support project deliverables
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and working papers for client or internal use
- Collaborate with team members across functions to support project execution and delivery timelines
- Contribute to process documentation and improvement initiatives
- Participate in simulation exercises and shadowing opportunities to understand end-to-end consulting workflows
Learning and development
You will undergo a structured internship program designed to build foundational knowledge in consulting and risk services, including:
- Overview of the EY Global Network and Consulting practice
- Introduction to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) covering business process controls and IT General Controls (ITGC)
- Business process exposure (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, HR/Payroll, Financial Close)
- Participation in training workshops on risk, compliance, and data analysis
- Mentorship program with regular coaching and feedback sessions

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy, Internal Audit, Information Systems, Business, or related fields
- Available to complete the internship within the required program duration
- Good academic standing and active participation in school or extracurricular activities
