  • Support Staff Available: RNs, APPs (NPs, PAs)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or AOA) required.
  • Licenses: Active unrestricted TN medical license and DEA with TN address.
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5 required.
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC in EM), NRP (for non-ABEM providers).
  • Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine required.
  • Other Qualifications: Case logs for last 2 years, CME in Preeclampsia-Eclampsia, immunization documentation (MMR/Varicella, TB test), ECFMG for foreign graduates.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED.
  • Supervise and direct nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
  • Manage acute medical conditions, trauma, and emergencies.
  • Perform emergency procedures as needed (e.g., intubation, central lines, etc.).
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
