VMware/Veeam - System & Backup Administration

• Responsible for the installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of VMware clusters • Managing Virtual server Environments (Vmware)• Provide 24x7 support for production systems• Periodical VMware hosts and guests patch updates.• Perform VMware software upgrades.• Manage Vcenter Servers.• Configure update manager and updating the hosts and guest machines. Perform P2V, V2V conversions using VM Converter and other tools.• Perform migration of serves between VMware clusters as per business requirements.• Performance monitoring of VMware cluster• Generate performance reports on regular basis as per requirements.• Perform periodic patches, firmware, security and OS upgrades as per standards.• Implement Audit recommendations• Prepare/update documentations on the supported domain• Backup for All Systems, Database and file server and replication from Primary site to Secondary Site.• Capacity planning for virtual machinesVeeam:• Perform upgrades, software updates and patch update for Veeam solution.• Configuring the Backup jobs for Virtual machines and physical servers.• Monitor the backups and ensure that it is completed successfully.• Failed backups to be re-run depending on the criticality of the system. • Add new clients to the backup solution.• Configure backups for Oracle, MS-SQL, SharePoint, Outlook etc.• Verifying the backup jobs using Sure backup and instant Backup recovery.• Performing regular recovery testing for production servers.• Perform data recovery upon the user request.• Creating the replication jobs to DR site.• Monitoring the replication jobs.• Verification of replicated systems periodically at the DR site.• Proactive monitoring of virtual machines for fault management and performance issues.• Capacity planning for virtual machines.• Produce reports as per business requirements.• Perform upgrades, software updates and patch update for Veeam solution.• Prepare/update documentations on the supported domainRequirementsCertificates:· VMware Certified Professional – Datacenter Virtualization (VCP 6.5 - DCV)Veeam Certified – VMCEExperience• VMware clusters running a mix of ESX 6.0 and ESX 6.5 servers. • ESX hosts• 8 years total and 3 years experience in supporting Veeam
