Job Summary
The Senior Network Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the enterprise data communications networks including installation, maintenance and repair of routers, switches, RFID infrastructure, servers, wireless infrastructure, data circuits and leased line equipment. Provides Enterprise level network design and integration expertise. Responsibilities also include corporate data center operations and maintenance. On call and after hours work is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide Enterprise level network design and integration for corporate network including multiple data centers and remote locations
- Install, configure and maintain Cisco, Aruba, HP and other equipment. Install server operating systems in support of network operations
- Ensure cost-effective and efficient use of network installations
- After hours work and on-call support as required
- Respond to help desk tickets and tracks requests for adds/moves/changes and adheres to established change management procedures
- Plans and coordinates the procurement IT supported hardware and other equipment according to department standards and procedures. Maintains vender and service provider relationships
- Provides project management / tracking to insure the project budgets and day-to-day work schedules are being met
- Create, maintain and update documentation as needed for compliance with company computer related standards
- Strong team working effort in project management and implementation is needed to ensure proper communication and coordination with all of IT and key departments for streamlined delivery of hardware. Works closely with the security, server and other infrastructure teams
- Follows all company and department safety procedures
- Use of personal car is required
Job Requirements
- 5 plus years experience in network design, data center operations, support and administration of Cisco networks
- Cisco certifications preferred; CCNA, CCNP, Comp TA, Net+ certifications accepted
- In depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, router and switches, 802.11 wireless
- Advanced understanding of networking and security practices
- Strong leadership, interpersonal skills as well as excellent documentation, teamwork and communication skills
- Weekend, holiday and evening hours are required
- Operation of company vehicle
- Use of personal vehicle required
- Computer related degree preferred, but not required
- Preferred expertise in Windows Operating Systems, data center operations and other networking technologies (DSL)
