Guest Service Shuttle Dispatch - FT - Seasonal - Guest Information - Kirkwood, CA

Kirkwood is now hiring a Guest Services Shuttle Dispatch for the 2014/15 winter season. The Shuttle Dispatch personnel performs all duties involved within the guest services department at Kirkwood Mountain Resort; including but not limited to providing communication to guests/employees and departments regarding daily activities, product awareness and any other cross-resort communication needs. The Shuttle Dispatch will also man the shuttle dispatch phone and direct the communication between picks ups either by guest or in valley.

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • All duties and responsibilities within the Guest Services department.
  • Providing 100% accurate communication to all guests and employees.
  • Being the face of Kirkwood and responsibly represent Kirkwood in all environments.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette at all times.
  • Ability to adhere to required responsibilities in an unsupervised environment. Meaning establishing priorities, working independently or within a group, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude in all extremes of weather and in all dealings with guests.

Requirements:

  • High School level math skills, mathematical aptitude for working with numbers
  • Able to work in all weather conditions including snow and sunshine
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Preferred skills:

  • Previous dispatch radio experience
  • High school diploma/GED
  • An outstanding personality that is approachable, friendly, and out going
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm in stressful situations, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers and vendors
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
