Rental Sales Director: Full-Time, Year-Round

Job Summary: Provide leadership and coordination of all company rental-related sales. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategy for the rental business. Monitor and analyze sales activity against goals.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide leadership and direction for rental sales teams by providing feedback, evaluating sales trends and creating methods for rental sales growth
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of the strategic sales plans for the rental operations to accommodate corporate goals and establishes rental store level expectations and guidelines
  • Works with the Business Analyst to review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, discount rates and rental offerings
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
  • Develops wholesale relationships, rates and contracts
  • Assists in equipment rental pricing and works with the marketing team to develop effective strategies to drive rental business through national ad campaigns, ecommerce, online promotions and eblasts
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Functions as the liaison between the SSV sales department and other VR sales related units
  • Communicate any ideas or issues with the Vice President Operations
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
  • Conduct performance appraisals and coach staff on a regular basis; conduct disciplinary actions as needed
  • Create a rewarding environment; generate a team atmosphere; reward and recognize employees
  • Conduct weekly manager meetings to reinforce area, regional, and company goals

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six years of sales management experience in a retail environment
  • A minimum of four years managing staff at a supervisory/manager level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • English fluency
  • Demonstrated track record of developing, implementing and measuring a successful sales program
  • Proactive and results-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in driving results from a remote sales team
  • Proficient in managing negotiations
  • Experience in a leisure equipment rental business

  • Assists in equipment rental pricing and works with the marketing team to develop effective strategies to drive rental business through national ad campaigns, ecommerce, online promotions and eblasts
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Functions as the liaison between the SSV sales department and other VR sales related units
  • Communicate any ideas or issues with the Vice President Operations
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
  • Conduct performance appraisals and coach staff on a regular basis; conduct disciplinary actions as needed
  • Create a rewarding environment; generate a team atmosphere; reward and recognize employees
  • Conduct weekly manager meetings to reinforce area, regional, and company goals

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six years of sales management experience in a retail environment
  • A minimum of four years managing staff at a supervisory/manager level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • English fluency
  • Demonstrated track record of developing, implementing and measuring a successful sales program
  • Proactive and results-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in driving results from a remote sales team
  • Proficient in managing negotiations
  • Experience in a leisure equipment rental business
