Job Summary:Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tooling Superintendent to oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of tooling processes for high-speed vertical and horizontal aluminium casting molding operations. The Tooling Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality aluminum components, with a strong focus on tooling for cold box core processes and high-speed molding. The ideal candidate will have experience in tooling design, maintenance, and optimization, ensuring that tooling systems perform at their highest capacity in a high-volume aluminum casting environment.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of experience in tooling management or a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.Experience in high-speed aluminium molding processes (vertical and horizontal) and cold box core tooling.Strong background in tooling maintenance and troubleshooting for high-volume aluminum casting production.Proficiency in designing tooling and the ability to create 3D models for tooling designs.Experience in using CAD software.Leading teams.Knowledge:Proficiency in tooling design and optimization for casting processes, including vertical and horizontal molding systems.Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in tooling operations.Competencies:Leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.Responsibilities:Supervise and manage all aspects of tooling operations for high-speed vertical and horizontal aluminum casting molding processes (over 100 molds per hour).Lead and mentor the tooling team, providing guidance on daily operations, troubleshooting, and tooling optimization.Ensure tooling meets high-quality standards for aluminum casting production.Manage the maintenance and repair of tooling equipment, including cold box core tooling, to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.Oversee the setup, calibration, and testing of new tooling for vertical and horizontal molding processes.Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to address tooling-related issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for tooling equipment and ensure proper storage and handling of tooling.Provide technical expertise and solutions to improve tooling efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production output.Review and interpret design specifications, working closely with the engineering team to optimize tooling for high-speed aluminum molding operations.Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in tooling operations.What Client Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work in an international, growing, and innovative company.Professional development and career growth opportunities.A dynamic work environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.Our client is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
