Job description

Technical Specialist (Water Resources) will be responsible for riverine/urban flood modeling, sedimentation transport modelling, using widely accepted models like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, SWMM, TUFLOW etc. He/She will be guiding water resources team in developing urban flood, riverine flood, flash flood, and flood forecasting models, including their calibration and validation. He/She will also be preparing high-quality technical proposals, reports and presentations. He/She has to interact with Clients very closely, conduct meetings with Clients and present proposals, progress, outputs of the projects before them.RequirementsRequirement:o Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering/ Hydrology or in related fieldso 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience in Flood Modeling (preferably using HEC suite of modules)o Fundamental knowledge of hydrological/hydraulic modeling and its application including in flood inundation modelling and sediment transport modellingo Proactive and professional in dealing complex water resources problemso Good written and verbal communication skillso Basic knowledge of Python, R programming languages, ArcGIS and QGIS is preferableTechnical Specialist (Water Resources) will be responsible for riverine/urban flood modeling, sedimentation transport modelling, using widely accepted models like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, SWMM, TUFLOW etc. He/She will be guiding water resources team in developing urban flood, riverine flood, flash flood, and flood forecasting models, including their calibration and validation.
