The UK Sovereign Operations team in Google Public Sector delivers, operates and secures private cloud services. We aim to provide the flexibility, reliability, and scalability of public cloud for customers with exceptionally high security requirements that can only be met in a private cloud environment. We deliver and operate these private cloud deployments for the most critical customers, helping scale, secure and maintain the deployment whilst working closely with Google product teams to continually improve our technology.
As a Technical Operations Manager, you will act as one of the engineering leaders managing a multidisciplinary team of infrastructure, systems, and network engineers. In this role, you will balance tactical day-to-day operations with strategic infrastructure planning across delivery, engineering integration, and live systems support. You will be directly responsible for the operational readiness and stability of our platforms, serving as a critical point of escalation during technical incidents while driving automation and hardening standards.
