Swimming Pool Operator ensures the safety, cleanliness, and chemical balance of swimming facilities by testing water quality, maintaining filtration systems, and adhering to health regulations. Daily duties include checking chlorine/pH levels, cleaning, and repairing pumps and heaters. A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is typically required:Key ResponsibilitiesWater Chemistry Management: Regularly test and adjust chlorine and pH levels to comply with health standards.Maintenance & Technical Repairs: Inspect and maintain pool pumps, heaters, and filtration systems to prevent shutdowns.Cleaning: Vacuum, skim, and brush pool surfaces and clean deck areas, restrooms, and adjacent facilities.Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety rules and ensure the facility adheres to local health department regulations.Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of water quality tests, chemical additions, and maintenance activities.Equipment Maintenance: Repair, paint, and maintain pool equipment such as diving boards, lane lines, and chemical feeders.
