Define metrics and monitor supplier performance against established scorecards and expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement and sustainability. Regularly evaluate performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection. Continuously work on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max, consignment) & manufacturing strategies, at times in partnership with Strategic Commodity Managers. Motivate and drive the improvement of the suppliers' manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery. Have knowledge of supply chain management business processes and proper governance controls for factory management would be added advantage. Establish goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand. Represent supplier business management on a cross-functional commodity teams that focuses on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied. Work with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements. Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects. Work with suppliers to monitor product costs preventing negative Part Price Variance and supporting cost reduction efforts. Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or applied sciences with 8 years of experience; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a Ph.D with 3 years. At least 5 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry Experience preferred Familiarity with semiconductors, electrical equipment, or high-technology supply chain management practices, standards, and organizations. Strong business acumen, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various levels and roles throughout the organization. Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution. Experience in Supplier Contracts & Price Negotiations for Mechatronics, Machining & Sheet Metal is a must.
