Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced STMS to join our Queenstown team and play a key role in keeping our crews, road users, and communities safe.
Working across a variety of maintenance and project works, you'll lead traffic management operations on-site, support your crew, and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead and support TMO crews on-site
- Set up, manage, and pack down traffic management sites
- Deliver toolbox talks and closure briefings
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Ensure all works are completed safely and to a high standard
- Problem-solve and adapt to changing site conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Queenstown, working Monday to Friday, with occasional night, weekend, and emergency response work as required.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Current STMS qualification (or strong TTM experience looking to step up)
- Full Class 2 Licence preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Planning and problem-solving ability
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A positive attitude and team-focused approach
