As an Electrical Operations Engineer, you will provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of site electrical systems, from design and construction through commissioning and long-term operations. This role offers the opportunity to influence a large-scale manufacturing project while helping ensure operational readiness, system reliability, and sustainable performance in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Responsibilities: * Provide technical oversight for medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, grounding, backup power, motor controls, and related infrastructure * Review engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, load calculations, fault studies, arc flash analyses, and protective device coordination * Support construction activities through design reviews, submittal evaluation, field coordination, inspections, and issue resolution * Lead commissioning, startup, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for electrical system performance and reliability * Partner with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and operations teams to support safe and efficient system operation Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field * 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including design review, construction support, commissioning, troubleshooting, or operations support * Experience with power distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and backup or emergency power systems * Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and analysis tools such as NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, Revit, or Navisworks * Ability to work on-site in Clay, New York and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic construction and operations environment Preferred Qualifications: * Experience supporting electrical systems in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, data center, or other high-reliability environments * Experience with commissioning, startup, maintenance planning, and lifecycle management of industrial electrical assets * Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, smart infrastructure, IoT technologies, Industry 4.0 concepts, or electrical system cybersecurity practices * Experience developing or utilizing Agentic AI workflows to improve engineering or operational processes * Demonstrated ability to mentor technical teams and promote safety, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives Job Profile(s): Semiconductor Facilities Engineer 4 - Semiconductor Facilities Engineer 5 Relocation Level: TBD Before Getting Started Please review Micron’s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs. The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $107,000.00 - $221,000.00 a year Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
