Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. ### Responsibilities & Skills * Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration and production support environments. * Strong experience administering Oracle Database 19c and exposure to Oracle 26ai. * Perform Oracle database installations, upgrades, migrations, cloning, refresh activities, and patching using Release Updates (RU), one-off patches, and Grid Infrastructure patches. * Strong understanding of Oracle RAC architecture with hands-on experience supporting 2-node, 3-node, 4-node, and 5-node RAC clusters. * Expertise in troubleshooting Oracle Clusterware, OCR, Voting Disk, ASM, RAC services, SCAN listeners, and Grid Infrastructure-related issues. * Extensive experience in Oracle RMAN backup and recovery strategies, including backup validation, restore and recovery operations, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and disaster recovery testing. * Strong expertise in Oracle performance tuning and troubleshooting, including SQL tuning, execution plan analysis, AWR, ASH, and ADDM report analysis. * Ability to diagnose and resolve CPU, memory, storage, I/O, network, and operating system-related database performance issues. * Strong Oracle ASM administration experience, including ASM disk group management, troubleshooting, rebalancing activities, storage optimization, capacity planning, and performance analysis. * Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Data Pump exports/imports, schema migrations, database refreshes, full database migrations, and Transportable Tablespaces. * Strong experience in Oracle Data Guard and Active Data Guard administration for business-critical and high-availability environments. * Extensive experience managing RAC Primary and RAC Standby configurations across disaster recovery environments. * Hands-on experience performing planned and unplanned Data Guard Switchover and Failover activities. * Strong troubleshooting skills for Data Guard transport lag, apply lag, redo shipping issues, standby recovery issues, broker configuration issues, and database role transition failures. * Perform disaster recovery testing, DR drills, and business continuity validations to ensure organizational recovery objectives are met. * Strong experience planning and executing database migration and consolidation projects with minimal downtime. * Hands-on Oracle GoldenGate experience, including installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Extract, Replicat, and Integrated Capture processes. * Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive and corrective actions. * Strong automation and scripting experience using Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar tools to automate database administration, monitoring, patching, provisioning, backup/recovery, and operational tasks. * Good knowledge of AI and Generative AI technologies with hands-on experience using AI-powered tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude) to enhance automation, troubleshooting, operational efficiency, documentation, and database administration activities. * Develop and maintain automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, standardize database processes, and enhance database reliability across enterprise environments. * Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, customer focus, and proactive problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams. ### Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills * Oracle Exadata administration and support. * Cohesity backup and recovery administration. * InfluxDB administration and troubleshooting. * ClickHouse database administration. * Python, Shell Scripting, and Ansible automation. * Experience driving database automation, reliability, and operational efficiency initiatives. ### Job Profile(s): Database Administrator E3 Relocation level: (TBD) Before Getting Started Please review Micron’s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
