Sr. Director - Collective Investment Fund Operation (Hybrid - Phoenix or Denver)
Job description
At Broadridge, we've built a culture where the highest goal is to empower others to accomplish more. If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.
Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking a Director or Senior Director, Collective Investment Fund Operations to help shape the next stage of our Collective Investment Trust / Collective Investment Fund (CIT/CIF) platform. The position may be filled at either level based on the selected candidate’s experience and capabilities.
In this role, you’ll own the operational foundation that enables pooled retirement and institutional investment vehicles to operate accurately, efficiently, and with strong controls. You’ll combine investment operations expertise with a forward-looking approach to strengthening processes and building an operating model that supports a growing platform.
This is an opportunity to move beyond managing daily execution and influence how the business operates, connecting reliable fund administration, strong service-provider relationships, and meaningful operational improvements to client confidence and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own operational performance across the CIT/CIF platform. Lead end-to-end fund operations, bringing together NAV support, fund accounting oversight, capital activity, and trading and settlement into a reliable, well-controlled operating model.
- Help shape business growth into operational readiness by leading the operational onboarding of new clients, funds, sub-advisors, and platforms; coordinating requirements such as CUSIP requests, NSCC trading setup, and platform agreements to support smooth launches.
- Build accountable service-provider partnerships through the management of relationships with custodians, transfer agents, fund accountants, trustees, and sub-advisors, setting clear service expectations and addressing issues that affect execution or client experience.
- Form a more scalable way of working with the identification of opportunities to simplify workflows, strengthen controls, and introduce automation that improves efficiency while preserving accuracy and oversight.
- Bring sound judgment to complex challenges. Serve as a senior escalation point for clients, prospects, and sub-advisors, guiding issues toward resolution and using what you learn to prevent recurring problems.
- Strengthen confidence in fund information and oversight. Oversee validation of performance returns, expense ratios, and turnover calculations, and support annual audits, financial statements, and Form 5500-related reporting.
- Embed risk awareness into the operating model by ensuring operational practices align with applicable regulatory, fiduciary, and governance requirements, including ERISA, DOL, IRS, and internal committee standards.
Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of experience in fund accounting, investment fund operations, asset management, or trust administration, including direct experience with Collective Investment Trusts / Collective Investment Funds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Deep knowledge of fund accounting principles, pooled vehicle operations, NAV support, and CIT/CIF operating models.
- Experience supporting audits, financial statements, transfer agency operations, onboarding, and trade settlement processes.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA-related operational requirements and familiarity with DOL, IRS, and fiduciary governance frameworks.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MFACT preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Access preferred.
- Professional designation such as CFA, CAIA, CPA, or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience supporting product launches, new fund structures, or retirement-focused investment vehicles, including alternative strategies.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000.
