Specialist System Engineer - Windows Server Administration

• Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Perform user, group, and policy administration in Active Directory.
• Monitor server health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot operating system, networking, and application-related issues.
• Understanding on DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and file/print services.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

VMware Administration

• Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Server.
• Provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines.
• Monitor VMware infrastructure and resolve performance issues.
• Perform VM migrations, snapshots, cloning, and resource optimization.
• Support high availability and disaster recovery initiatives.

Backup & Recovery (Veeam)

• Monitor and maintain backup jobs using Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Perform backup verification and restoration activities.
• Troubleshoot backup failures and recovery-related issues.
• Ensure backup compliance and retention policies are followed.

SCCM / Endpoint Management

• Support software deployment and patch management activities through SCCM.
• Assist with OS deployment, application packaging, and endpoint compliance.
• Monitor SCCM health and troubleshoot client-related issue

SEC

• Support security compliance and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Assist in implementing server hardening standards and security best practices.
• Review security alerts, antivirus status, and endpoint security controls.
• Collaborate with security teams during audits and incident investigations.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Moderate understanding of:
  • Veeam Backup & Replication
  • SCCM/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
  • Infrastructure Security & Vulnerability Management
• Basic understanding of PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of storage, networking, and virtualization concepts

Operations & Support

• Handle L2 incidents, service requests, and problem management activities.
• Participate in on-call support and maintenance windows as required.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and SOPs.
• Work closely with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams.

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Should have knowledge in both Windows and VMware skills
