Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. We are looking for a self-driven, passionate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Engineer. In this role, you will lead the development of manufacturing processes and stations (SMA, HotBar, etc.), ensure top-tier quality, and solve complex problems in creative, effective ways. You will also manage contract manufacturers (CMs) to support product development builds and high-volume mass production. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field, paired with relevant industry experience. Experienced in Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) or related fields (e.g., packaging assembly). General understanding of PCB fabrication, component packaging (general IC, SIP, discrete passive components), substrate materials, and surface finishes (OSP, ENIG, etc.), including how they impact solderability and reliability. Familiar with process failure analysis (FA) as well as it’s equipment, tools, and methodologies. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
