Job Description

CEDA is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team in Regina, SK. This position will oversee the day-to-day activities at our Regina shop and ensure proper repair and servicing of all vehicles. Additional support may be required within the region.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preventative maintenance and repair of specialized pressure and vacuum equipment in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ongoing diagnostic, service and repair of diesel engines, after treatment/emissions, hydraulic systems and pumps
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment, provide diagnostic and replace or repair defective parts.
  • Interpret and complete work orders
  • Complete service calls in the field as required
  • Identify and order parts as required
  • Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled
  • Supports safety and continuous improvement programs.
  • Maintain and support equipment records and repair history.
  • Coordinate employees working in the shop to assist where and when they are able
  • Other duties as assigned.

Role Specifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in an environment such as a mechanical/fabrication shop, on a farm, or in a similar industry where you have been repairing equipment, building structures based on design, or building custom features for equipment.
  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certificate required
  • Valid Class 5 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years required.
  • Class 1 or 3 license would be an asset.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test for both pre-employment and client sites you may have to attend.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to understand and communicate company policies and safe work procedures

  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Able to read and understand work orders, instructions, detailed forms, detailed operating and procedure manuals and case histories
