Senior Test/Efficiency Engineer

Lead end-to-end quality assurance activities across the software development lifecycle. Involves in hands-on testing, building automation frameworks, mentoring team members and ensuring delivery of reliable, high-quality software products.Provide tech solutions, development and support to stakeholders (IT and business) in alignment with the organization strategy and roadmapAccountability Supporting ActivitiesOutcome/ deliverablesQuality Assurance & Testing· Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans and test cases.· Perform functional, integration, system, regression and drives user acceptance testing.· Conduct non-functional tests including performance, load, stress and security testing. Automation Engineering· Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (UI, API, and integration).· Automate repetitive test scenarios to improve efficiency and CI/CD pipeline coverage.· Integrate automated tests into build pipelines and ensure reliable test execution. Collaboration & Delivery· Work closely with developers, business analysts and product owners to refine requirements.· Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).· Support the testing lifecycle during deployments and release cycles. Defect Management· Identify, document, and track defects through proper defect management tools.· Work with engineering teams to perform root-cause analysis and validate fixes.· Ensure defects are resolved within agreed timelines. Leadership & Best Practices· Mentor junior test engineers and guide them on QA techniques and automation.· Establish QA standards, improve test processes and promote a quality-first culture.· Evaluate new testing tools, techniques and frameworks. Requirements· Min 6 years in software testing and quality engineering.· Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD principles.· Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as:o Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appiumo JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber, UIPath, Watermelon, Postman/Newman· Experience with REST API and microservices testing.· Some level of exposure in one or more scripting/programming languages (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).· Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).· Strong skills in test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.​· Experience in banking & financial services testing (e.g. KYC, AML, onboarding systems) is preferred. · Experience with security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) is desirable.· Knowledge of contract testing (Pact) and service virtualization is advantageous. · Having base understanding of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized apps (Docker/Kubernetes) is extremely desirable. · Familiarity with GitOps and DevOps practices.​
