Reports to: Director of Operations USJob Summary:The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process for all engineering-related materials, equipment, and services. This role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials and services to support the company’s projects and operations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Procurement Planning:Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand material and service needs.Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.Contract Management:Prepare and review contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documents.Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions and manage contract variations and claims.Cost Management:Analyze and control procurement costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, price fluctuations, and supplier performance.Quality Assurance:Ensure all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.Work with quality control teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Logistics and Delivery:Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.Monitor and track shipment schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and contract management.Prepare regular reports on procurement status, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics. Team Leadership:Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff and other team members.Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the procurement team.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in procurement.Participate in cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives and initiatives.Core Competencies:1.
