Join Bühler's Business Area Value Nutrition and help shape the next generation of automation and software solutions for advanced machine control systems. In this role within R&D, you will combine PLC programming, modern software development, and interdisciplinary collaboration to develop reliable, efficient, and high-performing solutions that support our customers in achieving outstanding process and product quality.
- You develop and implement PLC software for machine control systems, primarily using Siemens automation platforms; Rockwell knowledge is an advantage
- You design, implement, and maintain visualization software, including C# backend services and Angular-based frontend applications
- You analyze technical requirements and translate them into robust automation and software solutions aligned with engineering standards and best practices
- You collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, process, and project teams, including close cooperation with our development team in China
- You support machine commissioning, troubleshooting, optimization, and 3rd-level support for machine control systems and related services, both remotely and on-site when required
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical field, ideally from a University of Applied Sciences or ETH
- Several years of experience in industrial automation, with solid knowledge of PLC programming, machine control software, relevant automation standards, C# backend development, and ideally Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS frontend development
- Good understanding of software engineering principles, including modular design, testing, version control, and documentation, combined with analytical thinking, strong problem-solving skills and deployment strategies as well as willingness to learn data science, data analytics, and machine learning methods for industrial applications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams, along with very good English and good German skills
- Willingness to travel up to 10% per year
