Senior Network Engineer

Role description

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and support enterprise LAN WAN SDWAN VPN and Wireless networks.
• Manage and optimize Cisco routing switching and network infrastructure.
• Configure and support enterprise firewalls load balancers including Fortinet FortiGate and Forti ADC and network security appliances.
• Support hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises data centres and Microsoft Azure.
• Administer network technologies including BGP OSPF VLANs QoS DNS DHCP and TCPIP.
• Monitor network performance capacity and availability using enterprise monitoring tools including Logic Monitor.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and production issues.
• Implement network segmentation access controls and security best practices leveraging the Fortinet security fabric.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning testing and business continuity initiatives.
• Collaborate with Security teams on vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements.
• Maintain network documentation diagrams standards and operational procedures.
• Participate in on call support and major incident response activities.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of Network Engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Handson experience with Palo Alto Fortinet FortiGate FortiAnalyzer FortiEMS FortiManager or similar firewall and security platforms.
• Experience supporting VPN technologies remote access solutions and secure connectivity including Fortinet SSL VPN and IPsec.
• Strong knowledge of BGP OSPF STP VLANs QoS TCPIP DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with Azure networking services including Virtual Networks ExpressRoute and VPN Gateways.
• Experience supporting highly available production environments.
