Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and maintains methods, and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of laser related products including optical/laser alignments & test procedures.
• Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of engineering change or new products or provides improvement proposal for product, process or testing.
• Involves laser set-up using sophisticated optical techniques and laser calibration using electronic control.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Work from laser schematics, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, fault diagnosis and trouble-shooting functions.
• Lead all failure analysis events to determine root cause. Provide in-depth evaluation & analysis of situations and data. Develop and implement effective corrective actions.
• Work with cross-function teams to achieve, laser related development solutions, product & process cost reductions as well as value engineering programs.
• Lead technical improvement projects and support laser related manufacturing to create a continuous technical improvement culture.

Education & Experience

• At least a bachelor's degree in applied physics (Photonics), Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum5 years of engineering work experience in photonics devices or systems-related field
• Skilled in laser systems, optics, photonics components is a plus
• Possess good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
• Must be a good team player
• Must possess excellent structured problem-solving skills
