Job description

WHO WE ARE:

As Singapore’s longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932. How? By taking the time to truly understand people. From there, we provide support, services, solutions, and career paths that meet their individual needs and desires.

Today, we’re on a journey of transformation. Leveraging technology and creativity to become a future-ready learning organisation. But for all that change, our strategic ambition is consistently clear and bold, which is to be Asia’s leading financial services partner for a sustainable future.

We invite you to build the bank of the future. Innovate the way we deliver financial services. Work in friendly, supportive teams. Build lasting value in your community. Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career.

Your Opportunity Starts Here.

Your Opportunity Starts Here

We are looking for a forward-thinking, commercially minded leader to help shape the next phase of growth across Global Wholesale Banking.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will work closely with senior leaders across Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking and Commercial Banking, bringing together business priorities, customer needs, market developments and emerging opportunities to shape how we compete and go to market.

We are looking beyond traditional marketing. You should be intellectually curious about how businesses, technology and banking are evolving, comfortable engaging senior executives, and able to turn complex opportunities into clear strategic choices and action.

What You Will Do

Strategic Growth & Business Partnership

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior business leaders across Global Wholesale Banking.
  • Understand business priorities and translate them into differentiated growth, customer and go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify opportunities across customer segments, industries, ecosystems and emerging business models.
  • Bring an external perspective and constructively challenge existing thinking.

Future Opportunities & Market Intelligence

  • Anticipate shifts in customers, technology, competition and the wider business environment.
  • Connect emerging developments to implications and opportunities for our businesses and customers.
  • Develop strategic points of view to inform business and marketing priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and new sources of customer value.

Customer Proposition & Go-to-Market

  • Shape differentiated customer propositions around strategic growth opportunities.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies that connect business solutions with customer needs.
  • Work across business, product and marketing teams to bring strategic initiatives to market.
  • Strengthen how we articulate the collective value of the bank to our customers.

Strategic Positioning & Executive Agenda

  • Shape strategic narratives and thought leadership around issues that matter to businesses and business owners.
  • Partner senior leaders on executive positioning and key strategic platforms.
  • Translate complex business themes into compelling customer narratives.
  • Strengthen OCBC’s positioning in areas where we choose to lead.

Strategic Planning & Insights

  • Bring together customer, competitor, market and business intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead strategic marketing planning across Global Wholesale Banking.
  • Help prioritise opportunities and investments based on business and customer impact.
  • Provide an enterprise perspective across the marketing agenda.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who operates at the intersection of business strategy, customer strategy and marketing.

You may come from banking, strategy, consulting, fintech, payments, B2B technology or marketing. We are more interested in how you think and what you have accomplished than following a traditional marketing career path.

You should bring:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience with strong exposure to complex B2B businesses.
  • Strong commercial judgement and strategic problem-solving capability.
  • The executive presence to independently engage and influence senior business leaders.
  • Experience identifying growth opportunities and translating them into propositions, strategies or go-to-market plans.
  • Strong understanding of customers, markets and competitive dynamics.
  • Intellectual curiosity about emerging technologies, new business models and the future of banking.
  • The ability to simplify complexity, connect the dots and develop a compelling point of view.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and storytelling skills.
  • A hands-on mindset with the ability to move from strategy into action.

The Opportunity

This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the business and the decisions shaping its future.

You will work directly with senior leaders on strategic questions, emerging opportunities and how we create greater value for businesses across the region.

If you are curious about what is changing, confident challenging established thinking and excited by turning ideas into commercial opportunities, we would like to hear from you.

What we offer:

Competitive base salary. A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle. Community initiatives. Industry-leading learning and professional development opportunities. Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers.
