Senior Mainframe Developer - Assistant Vice President

Job Description Citi is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst to join the Consumer Operations Technology team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of application systems that directly support Collections & Recovery operations. In this role, you will apply deep technical expertise to build and improve software solutions that meet complex business needs, working with a high degree of autonomy within a collaborative global technology environment. Responsibilities * Collaborate with technology partners, infrastructure partners, Operational stakeholders during pre and post migration phases. * Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions. * Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of application support. * Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems, and industry standards, documents requirements. * Partners with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals. * Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements * Drive production support readiness for key client onboarding and related migration activities , providing post onboarding support for ensuring client deliverable are met per SLAs. Required Qualifications & Skills * 10 years of experience in software application development, systems analysis, and programming. * Expertise in application development and production support of Mainframe applications . * Experience In working with transformation projects from legacy to Gen-Ai platforms is desirable. * Domain expertise Loss Mitigation applications is an advantage . * Hands-on experience with Python, applied to building and maintaining production-grade applications is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver software projects from inception through to implementation. * Familiarity with project management and consulting methodologies, with the ability to apply structured approaches to technical delivery. * Ability to work independently under pressure, managing shifting priorities and deadlines without close supervision. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant technical discipline.
