Senior JavaScript Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and developing new engineers-facing products and features
• Building robust and scalable software components and services
• Optimizing applications to maximize speed and scalability
• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders
• Taking a flexible, proactive approach to your work

Requirements:

• Core Stack: Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and web standards (semantic HTML, CSS, JS APIs)
• Quality & Modern Workflows: Commitment to high code quality using linters, automated test suites (e.g., Vitest), and modern AI/agentic coding tools to accelerate workflows
• Performance & Bundling: Understanding of client-side performance, code-splitting, and asset optimization for statically served applications
• Full-Stack Mindset: Basic familiarity with backend development, understanding REST APIs, and a willingness to touch full-stack code
• Product & UX Focus: Experience collaborating closely with designers, sharp attention to visual detail, and a user-centric product mindset

Desirable:

• Modern SPA Stack: Experience with Vite, TanStack Query, TanStack Router, and Zustand
• Design Systems: Experience consuming, and building component libraries using Web Components
• Micro-Frontend Architecture: Exposure to or hands-on experience with micro-frontends using Single-SPA

Personal skills:

• Perform a broad range of complex technical or professional activities, in a variety of contexts
• Investigate, define and resolve complex issues
• Able to work in distributed cross-functional teams effectively
• Influence customers and team members on the project level
• Plan, schedule and monitor your own work competently
• Have learning agility (readiness for challenge and being open to change)
• Confident Intermediate English (or higher) is a must
