Senior Java developer - The Netherlands - Relocation required-Contractor

For an international institution based in The Netherlands, we are urgently looking for a Senior Java Developer, who is willing to relocate as soon as the corona crisis allows it. Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required. This position is open for employees and freelancers, who would like to commit long-term and are willing to relocate.During the corona crisis, interviews will be done through WebEx, and travel is not required for the interviews. The start could be in remote and/or relocation as soon as the corona crisis allows it.Tasks and responsibilities:Contributing to the improvement of the development and build process;Ability to design and develop production-grade, enterprise-level systems that make extensive use of messaging and microservices;Participate in the Java implementation of a micro-services solution, being able to write backend code in a reliable, fast, scalable, and secure way, satisfying requirements and service level agreements;Write OAUTH authentication mechanisms. Implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests;Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system. Set up CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker is assumed;Work comfortably within a team. Follow Scrum procedures and disciplines. Estimate the work to be done upon request;Write technical documentation. Account for secure coding practices, as well as logging and auditing features;Communicate in a clear, concise way, not only to peers but to upper layers when needed;Profile:Bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education;+6 years of experience in Java Software Development;In-depth knowledge of Java and Experience with most common Java frameworks (Spring, SpringBoot, etc.);+2 years of experience in Software Development for the cloud;Good knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes;Good knowledge of Elasticsearch;Good knowledge of messaging systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, etc.);Good knowledge of OOP paradigms and SOLID principles;Extensive knowledge in Enterprise Integration methodologies and patterns;Good knowledge of the design and development of back-end components (REST APIs, integrations, micro-services);Knowledge of relational databases and Microsoft SQL servers;Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. AGILE);Capable to be part of an Agile Team implementing Scrum (team worker, easy-going, good communication capabilities)and knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. AGILE);Fluent in English;Interested:If you are interested in this opportunity, please forward your CV to [email protected].
