We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend background and hands-on experience in mobile development with Flutter.
In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building and optimizing robust backend services while also contributing to the development and evolution of our mobile applications.
The position has a strong emphasis on backend engineering, architecture and scalability, while requiring the ability to work across the stack when needed, especially on Flutter mobile applications and integrations.
You will join a technology team building and evolving digital banking and wealth management products used in a regulated financial environment. • Design, build and maintain highly available, scalable and secure backend systems
• Develop and improve RESTful APIs and integrations with mobile and third-party systems
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our backend services and microservices ecosystem
• Support the development and maintenance of our mobile applications using Flutter and Dart
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams on new features and technical improvements
• Optimize system performance, reliability and scalability across backend and mobile environments
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews and engineering best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes for both backend and mobile applications
• Proactively identify technical debt and propose innovative solutions and improvements
• Share knowledge across the team, mentor more junior engineers and contribute to technical hiring when needed
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies and best practices
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
Required Experience and Skills
Backend Engineering
• Strong experience with backend development using Java (11+) and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot
• Candidates with strong backend experience in Go and a clear willingness to work with Kotlin/Spring Boot will also be considered.
• Experience designing and building microservice architectures
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web service integration
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB preferred)
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications (preferably on GCP)
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Mobile / Frontend
• Hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart
• Good understanding of mobile application architecture, performance and testing strategies
• Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services and APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and app release processes
• Understanding of Git usage and code management
General Skills
• Fluent in English and Italian, with strong communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Comfortable working in Agile teams and fast-paced environments
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability and attention to detail
• Experience in FinTech, Banking or highly regulated industries is a plus
• Experience with Jira is a plus

Requirements
