Developing mechanical design of modular enclosure/buildings (small/medium/large scale) in Autodesk Inventor/Creo and producing project drawing & documentation as mentioned in upper paragraph. The mechanical engineer in design engineering based on inputs works on CAD models for sheet metal parts, design concepts & detail models of parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor, participates on engineering meetings with equipment suppliers and develops new skills and knowledge through internal and external education. Mechanical Engineer will be part of team of engineers with a lot of knowledge in various disciplines. Handles/supports multiple projects with assistance and also works with cross-functional teams.
Has experience working with electrical/structural/controls teams and drive project from start to end. Has ability to solve cross function technical problems and also estimate effective resource requirements.
Responsibilities:
Developing of project conceptual and detailed design in CAD.
Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of mechanical project documentation: detailed sheet metal part & assembly design, Installation drawings, Customer Drawings, fabrication weldment drawings, detail drawings, descriptions, instructions, material submittals, BOM, presentations and marketing materials etc.
During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
Use knowledge and experience to fulfill requirements given by project tasks
Participating in regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings if any.
Reporting project status to Team Lead or Manager.
Based on Project and priorities he needs to align with North America, India region, EMEA or ANZ region timeline.
Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
Initiating RFI („Request for Information “) in cases where additional clarification is needed
Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
Verification and approval of workshop supplier documentation developed by subcontractors.
Specifying Accurate Bill of Material & drawings required for project execution.
Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
Participation on internal testing and FAT
Authorities:
Review and approval of mechanical design documentation along with sub-ordinates.
Approve or reject technically received supplier offer with good mechanical engineering judgement.
Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation with mechanical engineering decision making ability

Education – Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical Engineering (OR Diploma Mechanical Engineering with 6 yrs exp.) OR ME/Mtech – Mech. Engineering
English language – fluent
Software – Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Revit MS Office & experience with PLM software is desirable.
