We’re looking for a Consulting DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join our Ghana team. This is a highly customer-facing role where you’ll act as a trusted technical advisor and hands-on builder. You’ll work directly with engineering teams, CTOs, and technical stakeholders to architect, implement, and optimize AWS environments that are secure, resilient, and cost-efficient.You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure while collaborating closely with internal teams and external clients to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer-Facing ConsultingServe as a technical consultant during customer engagements and architecture discussionsProvide clear solution design guidance and prevent technical misalignmentTranslate complex cloud concepts into practical implementation strategiesCloud Infrastructure Design & ManagementArchitect and manage complex, highly secured AWS environmentsDesign multi-AZ VPC architectures, Transit Gateway routing, VPC peering, and hybrid connectivity (Site-to-Site VPN)Implement high availability and multi-region HADR patternsCloud Migration & ModernizationLead and execute cloud migration strategies including lift-and-shift using AWS MGNPerform database migrations using AWS DMS with minimal downtimeSupport modernization initiatives beyond simple infrastructure replicationAutomation & CI/CDImplement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and TerragruntBuild secure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline)Configure pipelines using IAM role assumption best practicesDeploy and manage private EKS clusters without exposing the Kubernetes API serverSecurity, Compliance & Risk ManagementImplement strong IAM, KMS, WAF, Shield, and Secrets Manager configurationsSupport compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR) across industriesDesign architectures with security, risk mitigation, and regulatory requirements in mindObservability & PerformanceImplement advanced monitoring and observability solutions using CloudWatch, X-Ray, ELK/OpenSearch, Prometheus, and GrafanaOptimize system reliability, performance, and incident response visibilityCost OptimizationProactively identify and remediate cost inefficienciesOptimize compute, storage (e.g., RDS), and networking configurationsBalance cost, performance, compliance, and scalabilityRequirements3–5+ years of deep, hands-on AWS experience across services such as EKS, ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, Transit Gateway, and networkingStrong Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform required; Terragrunt preferred)Advanced Kubernetes knowledge (EKS, Helm, autoscaling, private clusters, kubectl operations)Experience designing and implementing complex AWS networking architectures (VPC peering, VPN, route tables, security groups, NACLs)Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation practicesHands-on experience with AWS migration tools (DMS, MGN)Strong security and compliance knowledge (IAM, KMS, WAF, Shield, GDPR, multi-region design patterns)Advanced observability experience (CloudWatch, X-Ray, ELK/OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana)Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving abilityAbility to make sound decisions with limited informationStrong understanding of integration, networking, and secure system design principlesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to think in terms of risk, performance, compliance, and scaleBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)BenefitsWork on high-impact, multi-industry cloud transformation projects.Collaborate with experienced cloud architects and AWS specialists.Grow your consulting and customer leadership skills.Exposure to global clients and complex cloud environmentsCompetitive compensation and benefits package.Career growth within a fast-growing cloud-native consulting firm.
