Solution Architect (Azure) – Belgium / Hybrid OverviewWe are supporting a leading organisation in the financial services sector in their search for an experienced Data Solution Architect to drive the design and delivery of modern, scalable data platforms.This is a key role where you will take ownership of end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring that data solutions align with both business needs and enterprise-wide architectural standards. You’ll operate at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex requirements into robust, future-proof solutions.Your RoleAs a Data Solution Architect, you will play a central role throughout the full project lifecycle—from early-stage analysis to final delivery. You will shape architectural decisions, guide delivery teams, and ensure high-quality, consistent implementation.Key responsibilities include:Designing and maintaining end-to-end data solution architecturesProducing and governing architecture documentation and ensuring alignment with internal review processesCollaborating with enterprise and application architects to define technology stacksDriving best practices in development methodologies, frameworks, and coding standardsTranslating business requirements into scalable and efficient technical designsSupporting project leadership with planning, estimations, and technical insightsProviding mentorship and technical direction to development and design teamsEnsuring solutions are implemented in line with approved architecturePromoting reuse of existing assets and optimising overall solution efficiencyDocumenting architectural decisions and ensuring transparency across stakeholdersRequirementsYour ProfileStrong experience as a Data / Solution Architect in complex IT environmentsProven track record delivering large-scale data solutions end-to-endAbility to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectivelyStructured, analytical mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approachComfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teamsTechnical ExpertiseExperience with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem is essential, including:Azure DatabricksAzure Synapse AnalyticsAzure Data FactoryAzure Analysis ServicesAzure SQL & Cosmos DBAzure API Management & App ServicesAzure DevOpsAdditional assets:Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BIExperience with Archimate modellingFamiliarity with tools like Sparx Enterprise ArchitectStrong understanding of cloud-based architecturesBenefitsLong-term freelance opportunity on a strategic programmeWork on impactful, large-scale data initiativesCollaborate with experienced architects and engineering teamsOpportunity to shape modern data architecture within a mature enterprise environmentIf you're a Data Architect looking for your next challenge in a dynamic, enterprise setting, we’d love to hear from you.
