Job description

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in banking, external audit, internal audit, finance, treasury, financial markets, risk management or regulatory reporting.
  • Proven experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Treasury and ALM
    • Financial Markets / Capital Markets
    • Regulatory Reporting
    • Product Control
    • Market Risk, Counterparty or Credit Risk
    • Liquidity Risk Management
    • Financial Control and Controlling
  • Strong understanding of banking products, financial markets activities and the related regulatory environment.
  • ACCA, CIA, CAFR or similar professional certifications represent a strong advantage.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in assessing risks, controls and governance frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify risk indicators and control weaknesses.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Python or other data analytics tools represents an advantage.

Personal and Leadership Skills

  • Ability to independently lead audit engagements and complex assignments.
  • Experience in coordinating small teams or workstreams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior management and control functions.
  • Critical thinking, professional skepticism and challenge mindset.

Role Purpose

To assess the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and control frameworks across Treasury, Financial Markets, Finance and related risk functions, while supporting the delivery of complex audit engagements and contributing to the development of audit expertise within the team.
