JOB TITLE: Safety/OSHA Inspector JOB ID: 100942-AoC COTEGORY: Construction Safety/Compliance CLEARANCE: NA CUSTOMER/PROJECT: Capitol Power Plant PERFORMANCE LOCATION: WSHINGTON DC AREA POTNETIAL FOR REMOTE WORK: NO TRAVEL: NA PAY: $90,000 – $110,000 plus transportation allowance per company policy JOB TYPE: EMPLOYMENT We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Safety/OSHA Inspector to support a construction project in the Washington D.C. area. Incumbent of this role will provide safety inspections, document reviews and detailed reporting on safety compliance for construction sites. Engage contractors and staff in programs that ensure safe practice on the construction site. During the performance of construction Safety Inspector to observe construction practices for compliance with OSHA regulations and provide recommendations to AOC for improvement of construction methods. Must be a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and must be OSHA 500 trained. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine and comprehensive safety inspections across active construction sites. Review safety plans, documentation, and contractor compliance with OSHA standards. Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliant practices; recommend corrective actions. Prepare detailed safety reports and documentation for project leadership. Engage contractors and site personnel to promote safe work practices and awareness. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved safety protocols. Provide expert recommendations to improve construction methods and reduce risk. Support incident investigations and implement preventive measures. RequirementsCertified Safety Professional (CSP) – required. OSHA 500 trained is a must - required OSHA 30 Certification – required USACE Quality Control Management (QCM) Certification – required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety inspection and compliance. Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health or related field (or 15+ years of equivalent experience in construction safety). Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands: Ability to function in a construction site without any limitations that endanger safety standards. Repetitive movements.
