Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Group's monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing, reporting, and consolidation processes.
- Coordinate with subsidiaries and business units to ensure timely, complete, and accurate submission of financial information.
- Prepare and review monthly and year-end consolidated financial statements, management reports, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
- Manage the Group consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, consolidation adjustments, and validation of consolidated balances.
- Review subsidiary financial submissions for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with Group accounting policies.
- Perform analytical reviews of monthly and year-to-date financial results, investigate significant variances, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant entities.
- Manage the Group financial reporting calendar, including reporting deadlines, period opening and closing, and submission tracking.
- Ensure appropriate controls over post-closing adjustments and accounting entries made after reporting cut-off.
- Develop, maintain, and implement Group accounting and financial reporting policies, guidelines, and reporting instructions.
- Act as the Group focal point for IFRS matters, including assessment of new and amended accounting standards and their impact on the Group's financial statements.
- Coordinate with subsidiaries, external auditors, Internal Audit, and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of interim and year-end audits.
- Follow up on and resolve financial reporting, accounting, and audit-related observations and outstanding matters.
- Ensure consistency between subsidiary financial records, consolidation systems, and Group-reported financial information.
- Maintain the Group chart of accounts, reporting structures, consolidation hierarchies, and financial reporting mappings.
- Lead the enhancement and automation of Group consolidation, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
- Monitor and resolve reporting and consolidation system issues in coordination with IT and system support teams.
- Manage reporting and consolidation system access, authorities, and controls in line with approved governance requirements.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to financial closing, reporting quality, submission timelines, and accuracy across Group entities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce closing timelines, minimize manual processes, and improve data quality.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for consolidation adjustments, eliminations, and Group-level reporting entries.
- Support the Group Financial Controller with financial analysis, reporting requirements, and other Group-level financial matters.
- Lead, develop, and supervise the Reporting & Consolidation team, ensuring effective workload allocation, performance management, and capability development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Group Financial Controller.
Role Purpose
To lead the Group's financial reporting, consolidation, and closing activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant consolidated financial information while strengthening financial controls, reporting systems, data quality, and operational efficiency across the Group.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Group financial reporting, financial consolidation, accounting, audit, or a similar finance role, preferably within a diversified or multi-entity organization.
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Professional Qualification: CPA, CA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is required.
Languages: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and other accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation systems.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, audit requirements, financial controls, and reporting systems.
Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, leadership capabilities, effective communication skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a strong commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
