Halfords Commercial Fleet Services (HCFS) is the UK's largest Commercial Vehicle Tyre service provider. As part of the Halfords Group, HCFS was formed by acquiring three large entities: Lodge, McConechys, and Universal, alongside some previous independent tyre management services enabling us to offer nationwide coverage for our customers.

Regional General Managers are responsible for the overall performance of their area, they will be ambassadors and exemplars of the Halfords Values whilst leading, developing, and challenging their Depot Managers to deliver on the company objectives supporting key stakeholders to achieve the overall business strategy of Commercial Fleet Services business across all entities.

Key responsibilities:

  • IT competent in the use of Microsoft programs and the ability to use stock, ordering and audit programs.
  • Support Managers to manage differing priorities and challenges to ensure first-class delivery.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Developing and mentoring the future leaders within the business to ensure seamless succession plans.
  • Encourage colleague development, training, and progression.
  • Ensure Health and Safety and Company policy and procedures are adhered to.
  • Maximising operational output through data-driven decisions and inspirational leadership.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the area, ensuring sales and margin targets are exceeded.
  • Be an Ambassador for the Halfords CFS Values and support stakeholders to achieve one united business across all entities within Commercial Fleet Services.

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the commercial industry and has experience of delivering a successful region.
  • Proven leadership skills and evidence of managing a large team.
  • Be committed to achieving profit, margin and sales targets to maximise profit and minimise loss.
  • Motivate and maintain high levels of colleague morale and incorporate Company values in their everyday life.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels of customers and colleagues.
  • Be able to identify high potential in both colleagues and business.
  • Ensure Halfords provide the best possible customer service levels to all our customers and colleagues.
  • Continue to upskill to meet the changing IT and service demands within the industry.
