Job description

Orakl Oncology works with a large cohort of patient-derived organoids (PDOs) to predict clinical outcomes and de-risk clinical trials. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Lab Technician to contribute to the development and optimisation of PDO culture protocols as part of our R&D team. In this position, you will:

Support internal R&D projects: You will work within the R&D team on the development and optimisation of patient-derived organoid (PDO) models from patient samples. In particular, this will involve assisting with the reception and processing of patient samples to adapt them to cell culture, preparing culture media, performing PDO-based assays, and handling several organoid lines in parallel.

Work on the expansion of the Orakl biobank: You will work on patient specimens and organoid cell lines to increase the amount of data collected, thereby improving our understanding of cancer. You will prepare culture media and handle several organoid lines in parallel.

Ensure good laboratory practice: You will maintain clear documentation of experiments, ensure traceability of laboratory activities, and contribute to the organisation and maintenance of the laboratory, including monitoring stocks of reagents and consumables.

You will report to the Associate Scientist.
