Working closely with software engineers, hardware designers, and experimental physicists, you will help transform research breakthroughs into robust production capabilities. Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features. Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight. Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation. Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems. Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Embody our Culture and Values Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python This position requires verification of citizenship or other protected status to meet legal requirements of the role. Citizenship & Citizenship Verification Ability to leverage AI tools to drive innovation and efficiency (e.g., performance modeling and analysis, research gathering, day to day task automation). Ability to work in an “AI-first” environment using modern AI tools to accelerate discovery through hardware development. Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Physical Sciences, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Physical Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years software industry experience, including research and/or development of commercial software, compilers, scientific computing applications, or multi-component systems OR equivalent experience. Experience in coding languages C, C++, C#, Java or Rust Self-motivated with an ability to succeed in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Experience administering and developing on Windows. Experience working with various telemetry and data visualization systems. Demonstrated ability to identify problem areas, drive issues to closure and ensure solid root cause understanding. Capable of technical deep dives into software architectures, designs, implementations and troubleshooting issues. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of software development and testing practices.
