Job description
Working as part of the Quality department on the project the Quality Inspector will be working closely with the construction Engineers / Project Engineers / Construction Managers to undertake onsite inspections and ensure that the works are completed to the approved project requirements, raise the relevant WIRs, MIRs, and highlight incorrect and non-conforming works executed at site.
- Diploma or B-tech/ bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- 2-5 Years of experience in the field of Construction
- Undertake on-site inspections of completed works as per requirements of approved ITPs. Follow up of WIRs for completed works for issue to Consultant for inspection.
- Attend on-site inspections of completed works with consultant representative.
- Undertake regular in-process inspections and monitoring of ongoing works and identify potential site observations (SORs) and non-conformances (NCRs) Coordinate with Project Engineers / Construction Managers to plan work inspections and ensure timely raising of WIRs for completed works Conduct material inspections, raise MIRs to Consultant, and attend inspections as required.
- Monitor storage of materials on-site and in storage areas to ensure that manufacturer requirements are adhered to. Monitor and track the status of WIRs, MIRs etc. and report regularly to project Quality team.
- Ensure work areas cleaned, waste removed and finished items are protected Review documentation for all upcoming works and ensure that Engineers and Construction team are using the correct approved versions of documents at site.
- Communication with subcontractor representatives at site on quality matters including NCRs Monitor and confirm the coordination of works between different trades / protection of finished works.
