Job description
Manage end-to-end procurement of technical stores, spares, consumables, and services for assigned container vessels.Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines in compliance with procurement policies.Review and process requisitions from vessels via procurement systems (e.g., AMOS, ShipServ, or equivalent platforms).Issue RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct commercial comparisons, and prepare recommendation summaries for approval.Coordinate logistics for delivery of spares and stores to vessels worldwide, ensuring timely supply aligned with port calls and operational schedules.Monitor budget utilization per vessel and ensure purchases are within approved technical budgets.Maintain and develop vendor relationships, including performance evaluation on pricing, quality, and delivery reliability.Ensure compliance with class, flag state, and internal QHSE requirements when sourcing critical components.Work closely with Technical Superintendents, Fleet Managers, and Finance teams to resolve procurement and invoice discrepancies.Maintain accurate procurement records, update ERP systems, and support internal/external audits.RequirementsDiploma in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.Minimum 2–5 years of purchasing experience in shipping, preferably handling container vessels.Familiarity with marine procurement systems (e.g., AMOS, ShipServ) and technical vessel components.Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost-control skills with ability to work under tight deadlines.Good understanding of vessel operations, dry-docking support, and global logistics coordination.Clarence KhohR1552376
