Your role and responsibilities:

ABB is undertaking a strategic transformation of its global learning and talent management ecosystem. We are implementing a Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP).

This 12-month role (starting July or August 2026) and covers all internal employees across 100+ countries plus external learners (partners, customers, distributors).

We are seeking an experienced **Project Solution Architect** to join our internal program team. You will be a key member of the delivery leadership, responsible for translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, guiding the design of integrations and configurations, and ensuring enterprise-grade architecture across all technical workstreams.

The work model for the role is: remote.

Please note that this position is with a Fixed Term contract.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Solution Design & Architecture, defining the technical IS solution and ensuring alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration among IS solution architects and IS delivery units.

  • Implementation Partner Oversight, ensuring that the IS solutions/services provide comply to the ABB IS standards in place, meet the required functionalities, cover the expectations of business and are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable.

  • Requirements & Design Validation, approving, signing-off, and building any solution to be implemented on ABB production environment, within the respective service line, ensuring required quality and safety standards.

  • Testing, Quality Assurance and Incident Resolution, contributing to IS problem and incident management by identifying and eliminating the reoccurring defects.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in HR enterprise IT solution architecture or enterprise systems design, including 5+ years of practical experience implementing HR systems such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).

  • Solid experience with LMS/LXP platforms such as Workday Learning, Workday HCM, ExpertusOne, Cornerstone OnDemand, or Absorb.

  • 3+ years of experience managing enterprise system integration projects, including HRIS integrations, identity management (SSO/SAML), and API-based architectures.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale technology transformation programs (budget €5M+, duration 12+ months).

  • Solid knowledge of enterprise integration architectures, including API design, Workday HCM integrations, SSO/SAML, OAuth 2.0, and middleware platforms.

  • Relevant certifications are required, such as TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture), AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or certifications related to L&D, LMS, or LXP platforms.
