Job description

Challenge the impossible – are you ready? Join AIXTRON and shape the future!

At AIXTRON, a leading supplier of deposition systems to the semiconductor industry, it’s not just about creating technology – it's about shaping the future. Ever since the company was established in 1983, we have been driven and defined by our spirit of discovery and our passion for excellence. Our state-of-the-art systems are at the heart of many high-tech applications, from LED and display technology to energy management, communication, and much more besides. All of this is made possible by a team brimming with talent – our greatest asset. Drawing on your skills and your enthusiasm for technology, you too could soon be contributing to our efforts, as we endeavor to push the boundaries of what is possible. At AIXTRON, you can look forward to exciting projects, interdisciplinary teams, and the opportunity to be at the forefront of technological advancement.

Your challenge

  • Independently manage small and medium-sized development projects end-to-end, from initiation through delivery and project acceptance
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, critical path analysis, milestone plans, and dependency mapping across work packages
  • Manage resource allocation by identifying staffing needs and submitting resource requests to line managers
  • Proactively identify, assess, and report project and product risks; develop and implement mitigation strategies
  • Track and report on project KPIs, forecasts, customer-facing risks, and milestone achievements
  • Build and develop cross-functional project teams in coordination with line managers

The skills needed

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, natural sciences, or a related technical field
  • At least 2 years of hands-on project management experience, ideally in the semiconductor, high-tech, or related manufacturing industry
  • Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, and critical path management
  • Familiarity with stage-gate processes, quality gates, and structured deliverable acceptance
  • Analytical and structured approach to complex problems; comfortable making decisions with incomplete information under time pressure
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, audience-appropriate messaging for technical and executive stakeholders alike, combined with strong active listening
  • Open, transparent working style with a genuine interest in continuous learning and process improvement

What you can expect from us

  • Flexible working hours: At AIXTRON, you can take a flexible approach to organizing your working day (without fixed core hours), work on the move, and switch between company office and mobile office.
  • Vacation: You will receive 30 vacation days by default. In addition, you can increase your annual leave through a salary conversion model.
  • Profit sharing: As an employee, you have the opportunity to participate in the company’s success and benefit from a profit-sharing scheme.
  • Health: We are committed to providing support for your physical and mental health, e.g., through regular health campaigns.
  • Personal development: It is important to us that you continue to evolve your skills, be it with the help of our own AIXTRON Academy or through personalized development programs.
  • Corporate Benefits: As part of our Corporate Benefits program, you benefit from exclusive discounts with numerous partner companies.
  • Retirement benefits and additional insurance: We support your retirement planning and offer capital-forming benefits as well as individual supplementary insurance options.
  • Catering: In our company cafeteria, you can enjoy subsidized meals as well as fresh seasonal fruit baskets.
  • Open corporate culture: We foster an open and respectful culture – first-name terms – that extends across all hierarchical levels.
  • Sustainability and mobility: We are committed to sustainability and provide EV charging stations for cars and bicycles, as well as convenient transport connections and free parking spaces.
  • Employee referral program: If you help attract new talent to AIXTRON, we will reward you generously through our employee referral program.
