This Japanese, Tokyo based, general contractor specializes in federal, military, and civil construction projects primarily working on U.S. Government owned facilities in Japan.A uniquely positioned company they are experiencing rapid growth and recruiting U.S. nationals to be based on 3+ year contracts in Japan, or Japanese islands in the South China Sea.The initial project will see you working on a $150M project in Okinawa leading the MEP scopes, JV and government relations and reporting to a company executive. Working with an international team you will be the key liaison between local contractors, JV partners, and the client (U.S. Govt/DOD).This is a unique and rare opportunity for someone to gain an international cultural experience whilst working on a major project working to U.S. standards. A longer-term career opportunity is available in addition to the initial three-year project.Requirements- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and have not been declined a Japanese visa, or other international visa previously- Minimum 3 year commitment- Willing to relocate to Japan - THIS IS NOT REMOTE- You must have heavy commercial, civil, federal, or infrastructure project experience- You must have completed a Civil Engineering Degree, Mechanical Engineering Degree, Architectural, or Construction Management Degree- You will need to be able to relocate and commence employment by November 2026Please review the following:Employment Status: These are local employee roles based in Japan. Successful candidates will relocate as Japanese residents under corporate visa sponsorship.
