Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Managers lead cross‑functional engineering projects and are accountable for meetingfinancial, schedule, quality, and customer expectations. The role partners closely withProduct Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other global TE functions to ensure successful project execution.
The Engineering Project Manager provides leadership acrossNew Product Development (NPD)andLife Cycle Engineering (LCE)projects and is fully accountable to theProject Approval Committee (PAC)for assigned projects.
Job Requirements
Project Leadership & Governance
- Act as the overallproject ownerand primary point of accountability to the Project Approval Committee (PAC).
- Lead cross‑functional project teams and drive projects to successful completion.
- Ensure achievement ofDesign Requirements, Opex, Capex, and Timeline targets.
Project Planning & Execution
- Define and createproject schedules, communication plans, and execution strategies.
- Develop and proactively manage theProject Charter, including accurateP&L ownershipacross all project phases.
- Identify stakeholders and establish effective communication plans.
- Identify resource constraints and collaborate with management for issue resolution.
- Define, scope, and initiate projects by understanding allinternal and external requirements.
Monitoring, Control & Risk Management
- Execute project plans to meetmilestones, timelines, KPIs, and charter commitments.
- Track, review, and control project performance, proactively preventingschedule delays or budget overruns.
- Identify, assess, and actively manageproject risks and liabilities.
- Ensure teams are fully prepared forGate and Interim Gate Reviews.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Provide regular and structured reporting to senior management onkey project and portfolio metrics.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously within the assigned portfolio.
- Identify and implementprocess improvementswithin project and portfolio management practices.
- Act as a“General Manager / Leader”for assigned projects.
- Strong leadership aligned withTE Project Management policies.
- Ability to proactively identify and remove barriers and roadblocks.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to motivate teams and drive accountability.
- Capable of managing projects involvingexternal organizations and customers.

What your background should look like
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
(Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering / Tool Design) - 4+ yearsof overall professional experience.
- Minimum 4 yearsof hands‑onProject Management experience, preferably onglobal projects.
- Experience in engineering domains such asautomotive components, mechatronics, or related industries.
Certifications & Technical Skills
- PMI certification(CAPM or PMP) – desirable.
- Solid understanding ofAgile development methodologiesand ability to deploy them inNPD projects.
- Strong working knowledge ofProject Management tools(e.g., MS Project).
- Familiarity with generalengineering and development tools.
