SUMMARY

The Product Owner – Q2 Assistant Platform will own the day-to-day definition, prioritization, and delivery of capabilities across PrecisionLender’s Q2 Assistant experience, including existing Skills and emerging AI-powered agents.

Working closely with the Product Manager, Engineering, Data, and Delivery teams, this role will translate product strategy and customer needs into well-defined, actionable requirements and prioritized backlogs. The Product Owner will serve as the primary product partner to Engineering throughout the development lifecycle—clarifying requirements, making tradeoffs, validating delivered functionality, and ensuring capabilities are ready for customer adoption and support.

This role is critical to turning Q2 Assistant strategy into consistent, scalable, high-quality execution across both core platform capabilities and client-facing experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously prioritize the product backlog for Q2 Assistant, including Skills, AI-powered agents, and supporting platform capabilities.
  • Translate product strategy, customer needs, and business requirements into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
  • Partner closely with the Product Manager to translate roadmap priorities into executable work and communicate delivery risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
  • Serve as the day-to-day Product partner to Engineering and Data, answering questions, refining requirements, resolving ambiguity, and enabling timely decisions throughout development.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning support, acceptance testing, and product validation to ensure delivered capabilities meet defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Coordinate dependencies across Engineering, Data, Integrations, Delivery, and other Product teams required to deliver end-to-end Q2 Assistant experiences.
  • Incorporate customer, Delivery, Support, and internal stakeholder feedback into backlog prioritization and product improvements.
  • Support beta, launch readiness, GA, and post-launch activities, including documentation, enablement, issue triage, and adoption feedback.
  • Help operationalize governance and quality standards across core Skills, custom Skills, agents, and other AI-powered capabilities.
  • Maintain clear visibility into delivery status, blockers, dependencies, and scope changes for Product and Engineering leadership.

Experience & Knowledge

Required

  • 3+ years of Product Owner, Product Management, Business Analyst, or related software product experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing software product backlogs and translating business needs into actionable requirements and user stories.
  • Experience partnering directly with Engineering teams through discovery, development, testing, release, and post-launch support.
  • Strong understanding of Agile product development practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
  • Ability to break complex capabilities into clearly scoped, sequenced, and testable increments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to work effectively with Engineering and Data teams on APIs, data dependencies, integrations, and AI/LLM-based capabilities.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS, financial services, commercial banking, AI-powered products, or another complex/regulated software environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with conversational AI, generative AI, LLMs, intelligent assistants, agents, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting client-facing configurable or custom software capabilities.
  • Experience with Jira, Pendo, or similar product development and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with commercial banking, relationship pricing, profitability, or financial analytics.
  • Active use of AI tools to improve product discovery, requirements development, testing, or other Product Owner workflows.
