Product Control Analyst

As a Product Control Analyst in the Product Control team, you will support financial controllers and trading desks to ensure P&L reporting, balance sheet oversight, and month-end close procedures are completed accurately and on time. You will produce and analyze P&L information, provide reporting to key stakeholders, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve control and reporting issues. You will also support control enhancements and business initiatives through analysis and project support.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with P&L reporting and month-end close processes
- Produce, consolidate, and analyze daily, monthly, and yearly P&L information
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
- Partner with the business to implement robust controls and support new initiatives
- Coordinate across front and back office support functions to resolve control and reporting issues accurately and on time
- Support investigations of reporting discrepancies and drive issues to resolution through appropriate follow-up and escalation
- Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control, including process improvement efforts
- Handle ad hoc requests and time-sensitive analysis as needed
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, product control, financial control, or a related area
- Experience with P&L reporting and month-end close processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interest in challenging current processes and driving improvements
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong accounting background
- Experience supporting trading desks or markets-related businesses
- Familiarity with financial products and market drivers of P&L
- Experience with financial reporting tools or automation approaches
- Experience working in a global or cross-functional environment
