As a Principle FAC Engineer of water expertise, you will lead the design, operation, and optimization of water treatment systems in semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, support fab expansion projects, and maintain high standards of water quality and system reliability. Key responsibilities includes: ## 1\. Water System Operations & Maintenance * Manage daily operations of ultrapure water (UPW), wastewater treatment (WWT), and reclaim systems. * Perform preventive maintenance, fixing, and emergency response for water-related equipment. * Monitor water quality parameters (e.g., pH, SS, COD, Cu, NH₃-N) and ensure compliance with discharge standards. * Apply SCADA/PLC systems for automated control and real-time alerts. ## ## 2\. Fab Construction & System Commissioning * Lead water system design and installation for new fabs, including piping, tanks, pumps, and chemical dosing systems. * Coordinate with contractors and internal teams for system commissioning and ramp-up. * Review P&ID diagrams, layout drawings, and equipment specifications. ## 3\. System Optimization & Upgrades * Drive improvement projects such as sedimentation tank retrofits, sensor upgrades, and chemical dosing accuracy enhancements. * Implement advanced treatment technologies (e.g., AOP, membrane filtration, ion exchange) for high-COD or metal-containing wastewater. ## 4\. Environmental Compliance & Reporting * Ensure operations meet local and national discharge standards (e.g., Taiwan EPA Stage II regulations for Cu, NH₃-N, etc.). * Prepare daily trend reports and SPC charts using tools like Power BI3. * Participate in audits and support regulatory inspections. ## 5\. Team Leadership & Training * Mentor junior engineers and technicians in system operations and troubleshooting. * Develop SOPs and training materials for routine and abnormal scenarios. ## Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. * 5 years or above experience in semiconductor water treatment systems. * Proficient in UPW, WWT, reclaim, and chemical dosing systems. * Familiar with SCADA/PLC, P&ID, and environmental regulations. * Shift: day shift with on-call support ## Preferred Qualification * Experience with fab construction and system commissioning. * Knowledge of advanced treatment technologies (e.g., AOP, RO, UF, MF). * Certified in hazardous chemical handling or wastewater operations.
