In Micron's High Bandwidth Memory Architecture organization, we partner closely with customers to deliver memory solutions purpose-built for emerging AI systems and applications. As a Principal Layout Designer in the Next-generation HBM Architecture Team, you will drive layout for 3D-stacked, high-performance memories. Apply your knowledge to deliver high-quality layout designs across analog and/or mixed-signal domains in collaboration with peer architecture, design, and packaging teams. Implement layout designs for early architecture concepts to demonstrate feasibility and identify optimizations. Responsibilities: * Design layouts for critical analog and mixed-signal blocks. * Drive exploratory layout process for next-generation architectures, including floorplanning, placement, and routing. * Integrate full chip designs and perform layout verification (LVS, DRC), quality checks, and documentation. * Collaborate and communicate across domains, including signal integrity, architecture, design, and advanced packaging, to ensure successful architecture exploration. Minimum Qualifications: * Hands-on layout experience with critical analog blocks and full designs. * Experience with Cadence VLE/VXL and Mentor Graphics Calibre DRC/LVS. * Solid understanding of layout impacts: speed, capacitance, power, and area. * Strong understanding of analog layout fundamentals: matching, electro migration, latch‑up, coupling, crosstalk, IR‑drop, and parasitic effects. Preferred Qualification: * Demonstrated layout ability for DRAM designs. * Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills. * 8+ years of experience in analog and/or mixed-signal layout designs. * A Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $62.25 - $122.00 an hour Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
